The Providores and Tapa Room – PhotoLog

* This is a PhotoLog entry *

(1) When did I visit? Jan 2014
(2) Have I returned since then? Not yet, but can’t wait to
(3) Do I remember anything from this meal? Yum food; nice cosy atmosphere; great for brunch; always has a queue; good selection of New Zealand wines; awesome desserts menu so well written that although I haven’t tried, it has been on my mind a lot even at a hefty £9 each – next time.

Grilled chorizo with sweet potato and miso hash, a soft boiled egg, garlic labne and star anise cashew nut praline £10.40

Bruschetta with haggis, smoked tomato relish, rocket, two poached eggs and chorizo hollandaise £10.80

Chorizo Burger, sesame brioche bun, roasted pineapple relish, fried egg, smoked garlic aioli £12.50

Hot-smoked salmon, two poached eggs and spinach on walnut toast with yuzu hollandaise £12.20

Perfectly poached egg with a runny yolk, consistently delivered for every single dish on the table

Flat White. Slightly disappointing coffee. Lacking microfoam (or any decent foam at all). It was more like a cup of hot milk with espresso.

Upstairs restaurant. Same brunch menu, different dinner menu

Downstairs. The “casual bit”.
